Conversion copywriting · Independent clinics & wellness practices

Not website copy — the front desk your website never had.

Juniper Yard Copy writes the pages and the emails that make an independent physical therapy, chiropractic or wellness practice legible to a stranger — before that stranger has dialed. Fixed project fees, $450 to $1,400. Studio at 246-40 Alameda Ave, Little Neck, NY.

01 · Standards

What a practice holds in hand on delivery

Five conditions attach to every engagement, whatever the size of the project. They are written down here because a clinic owner is entitled to read them before the first call.

  1. 01

Your clinical vocabulary, not a template’s

Each engagement opens with a 45-minute interview. The copy is built from the terms you use at the table — load management, cervical rotation, return to run — rather than from a swipe file.

  2. 02

One claim per sentence, each one defensible

No cure language, no guarantees, no borrowed testimonial claims. Your state board and your counsel keep the final word; the draft arrives clean enough for them to read in a single sitting.

  3. 03

The days between enquiry and first visit, written

Intake email sequences answer what an anxious new patient actually asks: where to park, what to wear, how long the first visit runs, what it costs.

  4. 04

A fee fixed in writing before the first call ends

Every project is a single figure between $450 and $1,400, invoiced in two halves. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately, in writing, before work begins.

  5. 05

Files that paste in without a developer

Delivered as a shared document plus plain-text and HTML-ready versions, with every page’s headline, meta description and button text labelled.

02 · The studio

One desk on Alameda Avenue, kept to a single discipline.

Juniper Yard Copy writes for one kind of client: the independent practice. A physical therapist who owns her lease. A chiropractor whose front desk is also his billing office. A wellness studio with one treatment room and a waiting list of questions.

Their websites tend to fail in the same two places. The service page describes the modality instead of the problem the patient typed into a search bar. And the hours between an enquiry and a first visit go unwritten — no confirmation, no what-to-wear, no word on parking.

The studio’s work is to repair those two places in plain, restrained prose, then hand over files the practice can paste in without a developer. Calls are taken Monday to Friday, 8:30am–7pm; evenings by appointment, for clinicians who only have time after their last patient.

04 · The file

On the desk before the first call, and the ten days that follow

A short preparation list keeps the 45-minute interview on clinical substance. The calendar beside it is the same for a $450 page and a $1,380 site; only the volume of pages changes.

Bring to the interview

  • Your current site address, or a plain list of its pages
  • The three questions new patients ask most, in their own wording
  • Your new-patient paperwork, blank
  • Which insurance plans you accept — or that you are cash-only
  • A three-minute voice memo of you explaining your main treatment to a neighbor
  • Parking, entrance and first-visit length, as a patient experiences them

Please send nothing that identifies a patient. The studio writes from your words, not from charts.

Ten business days, plotted

  1. Day 045-minute interview, by phone or at the studio on Alameda Ave.
  2. Day 2One-page outline returned for your approval.
  3. Day 6First full draft delivered as a shared document.
  4. Day 8–9Revision rounds one and two, returned within a day of your notes.
  5. Day 10Final files: shared document, plain text, HTML-ready.

Questions a practice owner asks first

Do you need access to patient records?

No, and please do not send any. The interview and your own documents are the only source material. Nothing identifiable about a patient is needed to write a page or an email.

What does the fixed fee actually cover?

The interview, an outline, a full draft, two revision rounds and the final files. If you add pages mid-project, the studio quotes the addition in writing before writing a word of it.

Will the copy make clinical claims?

It avoids cure and guarantee language and keeps each claim to what you can demonstrate in the room. Your state board and your counsel still hold the final word, and the draft is written to make their review short.

Who writes the copy?

The writer who interviews you drafts the pages. There is no hand-off between the call and the first draft, so the details you mention in the interview are the details that reach the page.

How is the project billed?

Half of the agreed fee to begin and half on delivery, by card, ACH or check. The figure on the quote is the figure on the invoice.

05 · Before & after

The same page, before and after the studio

Two excerpts, one practice. The first could sit on any clinic’s site in the country. The second could only sit on one.

On the page now

“We offer a wide range of physical therapy services to meet your needs. Call today to schedule!”
  • Names no problem, so a patient in pain cannot recognise themselves
  • Says nothing about the first visit, its length or its cost
  • Closes on an exclamation point and an instruction
See the $450 page rewrite

After the rewrite

“Low back pain that returns every winter has a pattern. Your first visit is 60 minutes, and it begins with how you sit and lift — not with where it hurts.”
  • Names the problem in the patient’s own terms
  • Sets the length and the starting point of the first visit
  • Hands off to an intake email: parking, paperwork, what to wear
